NSALG has existed in one form or another as far back as 1901, when the Agricultural Organisation Society's aims, established co-operation amongst agriculturists and the organisation of small holdings and allotments. Today, it maintains the British heritage by providing a united voice for the allotment movement and action to preserve, protect and promote a traditional way of life. With today's emphasis on protection of the environment, increased leisure facilities, attention to a healthy way of life and the recognition of organic growing, NSALG spreads its word the length and breadth of the country. NSALG is a registered Co-operative Society, a not for profit organisation and is strictly non-political, non-sectarian and non-racial.
