With housing accounting for 18% of UK greenhouse gas emissions, the need for policymakers to realise the value of retrofit hubs has never been more crucial.
In this short report, we outline how retrofit co-operatives can help unlock mass roll-out of household retrofit, energy saving and decarbonisation. We discuss the current work of retrofit co-operatives, summarise the challenges preventing proliferation of the model and outline key policy recommendations.
